New Year, New Jeans.
The retro revival of 2018 brought many great silhouettes back in to fashion, although thankfully it looks like super low rise jeans will remain in the early 2000’s where they belong. High rise denim is in, and long may it remain. 2018 was the year of stealing jean styles; the ‘mom’ jean, the ‘boyfriend’ jean. Anyone we could borrow from, we did.
Personally Levi’s Wedgie cut jeans took the win for me, popularised by Kylie Jenner, they were worthy of the hype. Universally flattering with a slightly tapered leg and giving everyone a cheeky rear view. Nothing feels as good as a great pair of jeans. So what’s new this year? Straight leg jeans are the new boyfriend jeans. And I’m all for it. Here are my top picks:
Straight leg jeans brilliantly versatile. You can dress them up with a silky cami for a night out, add a cute blazer for an easy workwear look, or pair them with a cosy jumper and some heeled boots for brunch. The possibilities are endless.
